No hose, no drain, no bucket, and the machine still needs to look decent before it goes on the trailer. AMSOIL Miracle Wash Waterless Wash and Wax Spray handles that in two steps, spray and wipe, with no soap and no water involved. Surfactants lift dirt off the panel and hold it in suspension while the cloth carries it away, and the product itself sits between the grit and your finish as a barrier against scratching. What you are left with is a long-lasting shine, an anti-static surface that pushes dust away, and protection against ultraviolet damage. Get the thick caked dirt off first, because that part is not what this is for.
What a waterless wash will and will not do
There is a hard limit here. Thick coated dirt has to come off before Miracle Wash goes on, which rules out caked trail mud as a first step. What it handles is dust, road film, and light soil on a panel that is already free of heavy deposits.
That limit comes straight out of how the product works. Surfactants lift dirt and hold it in suspension so the cloth can carry it off, and a cloth only holds so much before it starts dragging grit across your finish instead of removing it.
Suspension is what keeps grit off your paint
Suspension is the safety net in any waterless wash. The surfactants surround each dirt particle and hold it away from the surface while the product forms a barrier between that grit and your finish, protecting the paint from abrasion during the wipe.
Wiping a dry panel drags grit straight across the clear coat, which is why anyone who has seen that result is skeptical of waterless products. The barrier is the answer to that objection, and it is also why the directions insist on wiping immediately instead of letting product dry in place.
Shade, small sections, and an immediate wipe
Shake it, work in a dry shaded spot, and cover 3 to 4 square feet at a time. Shade keeps the product from flashing off before you can wipe it, and a small section keeps every inch of the panel inside the working window instead of leaving half of it to dry untouched.
Wipe immediately with a clean lint-free cloth. Immediately is the word that matters, because the dirt has to leave the panel while it is still suspended. Turn or swap the cloth once it is loaded with grit, before you start the next section.
Because the whole process runs without soap or water, it works in a garage, a parking lot, a campsite, or anywhere else a hose and a drain are not part of the picture.
What sticks around after the wipe
Anti-static agents repel dust and light dirt, which keeps the shine alive long after you have put the cloth down. Static is what pulls fine dust back onto a freshly cleaned panel within hours, so knocking it out changes how long the result holds rather than how clean the panel looks right now.
The finish also blocks the damaging effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays. On a machine parked outside between rides, ultraviolet exposure is the slow burn behind faded plastic and chalky paint, and it keeps working whether or not you ride.
Where it belongs, and handling the can
Miracle Wash works on virtually all non-porous and painted surfaces, including cars, trucks, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, boats, countertops, and kitchen appliances, so the same can cleans a UTV hood and a shop refrigerator door. Test matte and other porous finishes on a small area first, since a matte clear coat behaves differently under a wax-bearing product.
The contents form a flammable aerosol with gas under pressure that may explode if heated, with a heat of combustion of 10.94 kJ/g. Keep heat, hot surfaces, sparks, and open flames clear, skip the cigarette, and never spray toward a flame.
Store the pressurized can locked up, well ventilated, out of sunlight, and below 50°C (122°F), and never pierce or burn it. The white emulsion smells of lemon, may be fatal if swallowed and it reaches your airways, and is harmful to aquatic life. AMWSC-EA is the 13 oz. can and AMWSC-CA the case of twelve, and distribution does not include Canada.
Questions about AMSOIL MIRACLE WASH WATERLESS WASH AND WAX SPRAY
Not as a first step. Get thick coated dirt off the surface before you apply Miracle Wash. The spray-and-wipe process works by lifting dirt and holding it in suspension, and a heavy deposit overloads that suspension before the wipe is done, which puts grit against your finish.
Surfactants lift the dirt off the surface and hold it in suspension, and the product acts as a barrier between those particles and your finish to protect it from abrasion during the wipe. That barrier is exactly why the directions say to wipe immediately instead of letting it dry.
Three to four square feet, in a dry shaded spot, wiped immediately with a clean lint-free cloth before you move on. Small sections keep the whole panel inside the working window instead of leaving half of it to dry before the cloth ever gets there.
Matte and other porous finishes. The product is highly effective on virtually all non-porous and painted surfaces, but a matte clear coat reacts differently to a wax-bearing product and a porous surface can absorb what a non-porous one holds on top. A small test area settles it.
Both. You get a long-lasting shine with a tough protective finish, anti-static agents that repel dust and light dirt to keep that shine going, and protection against the damaging effects of the sun's ultraviolet rays. Ultraviolet exposure is what fades the plastic on a machine parked outdoors.
AMWSC-EA is the 13 oz. can and AMWSC-CA the case of twelve, and distribution does not include Canada. Store the pressurized can locked up, out of sunlight, well ventilated, and below 50°C (122°F), which rules out leaving it strapped to the machine on a summer afternoon.
